Mobile Library Service in Wilstead
Bedford Borough Council continues to provide the Mobile Library Service in the Parish.
The Library stops at the following locations:-
Alternate Wednesday afternoons
Black Hat Close
Vicarage Close/layby
Methodist Church/school
76 Cotton End Road
It is free to join and borrowing books is free of charge. There is a small charge to borrow spoken word cassettes and to reserve items. You can borrow 10 items on your ticket and keep them for 4 weeks.
The vehicle is fitted with a lift for customers unable to manage the steps.
If you have difficulty getting to the mobile library you can contact Kempston Library (tel. 01234 27653) to ask about the Library Link Service which can bring the library to your door.
The mobile library carries a wide selection of books, fiction, non-fiction, large print and spoken word.
The children's section includes fiction and nonfiction.
Also there are board and picture books for toddlers and young children.
You can also collect your child's Bookstart packs.
